How to switch between four- and six-digit codes on i-on 30R, 40H, i-on Compact and i-on Style panels (and vice versa)

1. From four to six digits

Changing User and Engineer codes from four to six digits is quick and easy using the following menu (Level 4 Update Code will be defaulted):

INSTALLER MENU System Options – Restore defaults – Staged Defaults – User – 6 Digit User Codes – (press tick) Are you sure? – (press tick)

(On i-on Compact only) "NEW USER 1 CODE (     )" enter the new 6 digit User code - "CONFIRM USER 1 CODE (     )" enter the same code again - User 1 Changed

Default Complete.

Codes will change as follows:

The Engineer Code will show 00 at the end – for example 1472 will become 147200

All User Codes, Tags and HUAs etc. will be defaulted / erased and the master code will be defaulted to 123456.

The LEVEL 4 UPDATE Code will also be defaulted. However, you will have to Disable and then Enable it again before assigning a new code:

INSTALLER MENU System Options – Level 4 Update

PLEASE NOTE: If a ‘First Stage Default’ is performed (shorting the RST CODES / RESET CODE pins on powering up) the system will always default to a four-digit code, even if the codes were previously six digits.
